Construction Mentor Pilot Programme

Pilot Programme for Eligible Candidates to be Registered as Construction Mentors with SACPCMP

The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is a statutory Council, established in terms of the Project and Construction Management Professions Act (Act No.48 of 2000) (“the SACPCMP Act”), and mandated to provide for the registration of professionals, candidates and specified categories in the project and construction management professions.

The cidb and SACPCMP have agreed to a strategic collaboration that promotes cooperation and mutual benefit in line with their mandates. Through its B.U.I.L.D Programme, the cidb aims to strengthen contractor development by enhancing the capacity, performance, and sustainability of emerging contractors in the South African Construction Industry.

The Pilot Programme

In support of this objective, the cidb and SACPCMP are implementing a pilot programme aimed at increasing the pool of suitably qualified professionals registered in the SACPCMP Construction Mentor category. The pilot programme will identify and support eligible candidates who have the requisite qualifications, experience and interest in pursuing registration as Mentors with SACPCMP.

The cidb hereby invites interested, suitably qualified candidates to express their interest in participating in the pilot programme. Applications will be considered in line with SACPCMP’s standard policies, procedures and competency requirements. Successful participants will be supported through the pilot programme towards meeting the applicable requirements for registration in the SACPCMP Construction Mentor categories.

Please note

Participation in the pilot programme does not, however, constitute or guarantee professional registration. Final registration remains subject to the applicant satisfying all applicable SACPCMP registration policies, procedures, competency standards and assessment requirements.

  • a comprehensive and updated curriculum vitae indicating relevant experience;
  • certified copies of relevant academic qualifications;
