Call for nominations to serve on the National BIM Steering Committee (NBSC)

The cidb is seeking experienced professionals to join the National Building Information Modelling (BIM) Steering Committee (NBSC). Members will advise on how South Africa’s construction sector adopts BIM up to 2030. They will work with representatives from the public sector, private sector and universities to set the direction for digital construction in the country.
Candidates need a relevant tertiary qualification, for example in engineering, construction, the built environment or digital technology, and five or more years of experience in their field. The committee needs a mix of skills, from digital project delivery and infrastructure procurement to information standards, training, and newer technologies such as digital twins and AI. Members serve a three-year term in a voluntary capacity.

Nominations must be sent electronically by 20 October 2026, and must include all the required documents to be considered.
