The cidb Construction Industry Indicators
The cidb Construction Industry Indicators (CIIs) are measures of performance of the industry, focusing on clients, the clients agents/ consultant and contractors. The CIIs have been captured annually since 2003, and are currently being captured by the cidb in partnership with the Department of Quantity Surveying and Construction Management of the University of the Free State.


cidb SME Business Conditions Survey
The SME Business Conditions Survey measures contracting business conditions amongst cidb registered contractors in Grades 3 to 7. The Survey measures, amongst others, the business confidence, and construction activity, tendering competition, employment and labour constraints amongst cidb registered contractors at a provincial level and in various contractor grades. The SME Business Conditions Survey is undertaken by the Bureau for Economic Research (BER) for the cidb.


cidb Construction Monitor

The cidb Construction Monitor provides an overview of the contracting sector in South Africa, with emphasis on i) supply and demand, ii) contractor development, iii) employment and iv) transformation focusing on both contractors as well as the built environment professional sector.
