Johannesburg, 11 October, 2016: The Construction Industry Development Board has welcomed the announcement today, of the signing of the Voluntary Rebuild Programme (VRP) Agreement between Government and six of the fifteen companies involved in the collusion uncovered by the Competition Commission in the past.

Message to all
Contractors with Lesotho Nationals in their Employ
Government has given Lesotho nationals living in South Africa illegally a chance to apply for a special permit that is valid until 2019. On behalf of the Department of Home Affairs, the cidb would like to appeal to all contractors who have Lesotho nationals in their employ to encourage such employees to make use of this opportunity to apply for the Lesotho Special Permit. The amnesty applies to Basotho nationals who have been illegally residing in the RSA before September 2015. Deadline for applications is 31 December 2016.
