Chief Financial Officer (Grade E2)
To develop and interpret finance strategy in order to align to cidb strategic objectives.
Reporting To:
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
The new financial leader must have the ability to take  cidb forward, with the following areas of focus:

• Develop finance management strategy;
• Conduct annual strategic planning;
• Lead budgeting processes in compliance with national Treasury guidelines and to monitor the utilization of budgets within cidb;
• Develop and monitor the implementation of finance policies and procedures in line with PFMA and treasury regulations;
• Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly financial reports  and annual financial statement;
• Ensure the establishment and management of an effective and efficient financial accounting system;
• Ensure proper and diligent compliance with all financial  aspects, including, but not limited to:
-Budgetary process and control;
-Investment management;
-Credit control and debt collection;
-Financial management;
-Management of assets and liabilities of cidb;
-Ensure the development and implementation of strategies that will have measureable positive impact on financial performance;
• Provide advisory services to EXCO and Board on all financial matters;
• Develop the management and the implementation of supply chain and asset management programmes, policies and directives in the cidb;
• Develop supply chain management strategy;
• Undertake risk assessment, implement and maintain an effective risk management strategy.
Educational Requirements:
• A post graduate qualification in Finance/ Accounting at NQF Level 8. Relevant Master’s degree will be  an added advantage.
Experience Required:
• 8-10 years’ work experience in Finance management of which at least five years should be senior management experience; or an equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience (NQF Level 7).
• At least 5-8 years at Senior Management level; 3-5 years in an executive position.
Remuneration Package:
(R1,002,178.71 – R1,753,845.17)
